Thank
you for stopping by the official website of the Grant
County Sheriffs Department, with headquarters located in
Williamstown, Kentucky. Grant County is found in
North-Central Kentucky approximately 30 miles South of
Cincinnati, Ohio, approximately 30 miles North of
Lexington, Kentucky and approximately 50 miles East of
Louisville, Kentucky.
The department is comprised of approximately 25
officers. The Sheriff, a Chief Deputy, 2 captains,
2 sergeants, and 21 deputies. The Sheriffs Department
was created when the Crittenden Police Department, the
Dry Ridge Police Department and the Grant County
Sheriffs Department merged and consolidated resources in
July of 2000. This type of merger was the
first of it's kind in the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
It is the mission of the Grant County Sheriffs
Department to develop a highly trained, efficient, and
professional law enforcement office in order to provide
outstanding service to the citizens of Grant County, the
Commonwealth of Kentucky, and our Country.

possible and to provide a communication link between law
enforcement and our community.
