The accomplishment of goals
are the test by which we measure our success both in personal life and In
business. However, it is not enough to be satisfied with these
accomplishments. Goal setting and achievement is never ending. We must be
dedicated to setting new goals and striving to attain them time after
time. The Grant County Sheriff’s Department has a long history of
accomplishing the goals that are set and is constantly striving to find
new and innovative ways to deliver law enforcement services to Grant
County while remaining fiscally responsible.
It is the goal of the
Grant County Sheriff’s Department to provide the citizens of Grant County
with professional and ethical law enforcement officers who are dedicated
to public service. Law enforcement touches the lives of many individuals.
The firm and fair enforcement of laws must be balanced with compassion and
understanding for all of mankind. Attaining these goals can only be
accomplished by leading by example and training. From the Sheriff through
the first line of supervision high expectations are placed on each
individual to perform their sworn duty. Training of law enforcement
officers is paramount in an ever-changing profession. Technological
advances and law enforcement delivery system trends demand constant
training for all law enforcement professionals in order to better serve
our communities. Maintaining high levels of training for all law
enforcement officers in the Sheriff’s Department will remain to be a high
priority for this office.
With the understanding
that the Sheriff’s Department is the voice of law enforcement within the
community and the philosophy that we represent law enforcement by the
people and for the people we will strive to not only listen to the
community but to hear the community. Serving the public in a professional,
ethical, efficient, firma and fair manner is the greatest goal of public
service. The Grant County Sheriff’s Department will achieve this goal by
utilizing the voice of the people, high levels of law enforcement
training, efficient and effective management techniques, and the statutes
of the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
